As the Faculty Head in Disaster Management, he will provide leadership to the Centre and will undertake all required activities viz. Research, Training, Documentation, Database etc. He is also responsible for creating Public Awareness and Capacity building, Govt. and Non-Govt. partnership and providing all required expertise & assistance to the State Govt. in the field of Disaster Management. He should actively liaise with the State Home Department, DM Division, Govt. of India, NIDM and DONER agencies.
