Disaster management Cell

The Institute comprises of three major blocks:-

• Administrative Block
• Training Block
• Hostel Block

Administrative Block

All the officers and faculty members are accommodated in this double storied building. Most of the officers have computers (with TFT monitors) on their desks which are connected with LAN and Internet. 

To meet the demands and requirements of computer trainings, a second computer lab was setup, which was  inaugurated on 8^th June 2004 by the then Director, Shri. E. T. Sunup, IAS(Retd.). There are 15 computers in this new lab which are connected to the LAN and has an internet connectivity through VSAT received from the Ministry of IT.

All the computers in the Institute are networked  using CAT 5E cables and OFC (Optical Fiber Cable). All the rooms in the Institute are also  connected with Intercom (EPABX). Click here to view the Telephone Extension Numbers of Officers.

During 2007-08, under the DOPT project on VPN-MPLS for e-networking of training institutes in the country, the Institute is connected to other institutes.                       

Besides, this block also houses the Account Section and Establishment Section.

Training Block

The Training block is a two storied building and houses the following:-

• Two (2) Conference Halls with a seating capacity of 50 to 70 persons.
• Seven (7) Lecture rooms with different seating capacities ranging from 20 to 35 participants.
• One (1) Networked Computer Lab with Internet connectivity having a capacity of 25 participants.
• One (1) Hardware Lab.
• Research & Development (R&D)Cell
• Disaster Management Cell (DMC) set up in 2005
• A Library.

  All Lecture Halls and Conference Halls are equipped with White Boards, LCD Projectors and computers. Besides, all rooms are connected to the LAN and have  Internet connection. The two Conference Halls have an excellent conferencing audio system.

Library

The Institute's Library is housed in the First floor of the Training Block.

The Library has about 5,000 volumes consisting of various books on varied subjects. Besides, journals, magazines and other publications are also subscribed. More volumes of books on various disciplines are proposed to be added to the library during the current financial year.

The Library has a Reading Room located in an ambient atmosphere making it a perfect room for reading.

The Library is manned by a Librarian and assisted by an Assistant Librarian.

Hostel Block

The Institute has well laid and well furnished Hostel facility (double storied) to cater to the needs of the trainees and resource persons with the following rooms:-

1. Suites: 2
2. Single rooms: 10
3. Double rooms: 5
4. Triple rooms: 6
5. VIP Lounge.
6. TV Room
7. Mini Computer Lab with Internet facility (under completion).
8. Kitchen and Dining Room with a capacity of more than 30 persons.
9. An Auditorium, popularly known as 'Imagine Nagaland Hall' with a seating capacity of 250 to 300 persons.

          * All the rooms have attached bath rooms and toilets.

 Sports and Recreations:

Synthesizing the concept of a healthy mind in a healthy body, the Institute provides different games like badminton, Chess, carom, table tennis, yoga, twakendo and music. It has also TV (TataSky) in the TV room and the two suites.

The Institute has also a Water Tanker to ensure sufficient water supply to the entire complex.
