RTI Training Programmes during 2009-10:
RTI Courses
shall be undertaken under the project on the 'Implementation of the Centrally
Sponsored Scheme on Strengthening, Capacity Building and Awareness Generation
for effective implementation of the RTI Act - Training Component' being
implemented for a period of 24 months starting from 2009-10 in the same pattern
as the UNDP funded project on 'Capacity Building for Access to Information'
which was implemented by DoPT during 2007-2009.
-
Emphasis will be given to those Departments
involved in delivery of Government schemes,
-
Departments which receive the maximum number of
RTI applications,
-
Departments where PIOs have not been trained and
Departments with citizen interface .
-
Emphasis would also be laid on capacity
building of information seekers especially those below the poverty line.
